Paul M. Derkotch - Class of 1976

Paul Derkotch passed away suddenly on June 7th, 2023 at the age of 65.

Beloved son of the Late Paul and L Virginia Derkotch.  

Husband of Kathleen Beringer,  Father of Austin Derkotch and loving  Pop to his best friend Kash.  Dear brother of Carol Deeley (Bob) and Wayne Derkotch (Judy).

Loving uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews...he loved each and every one of them, cheering them on at sporting events, sharing his love of hunting and fishing and just being the “UNC"  that they all loved.

Paul was born and raised in Fishtown. He is a graduate of Mastbaum High School where he played football and made life-long friendships.

Paul had a large circle of life-long friends that will surely miss his loud boisterous voice, wise cracks, and 5 am phone calls. He also began swimming years ago and has a great bunch of gym buddies.  

He will be missed by all.

Please join Paul's family after 3:00 pm Saturday, June 10th at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136 for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating his life. The memorial tribute service will begin at 4:00 with more time for refreshments and fellowship afterwards, until 6:00 pm. Paul’s wife and family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support throughout the gathering.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to a cause which was important to Paul, in his memory, to The Police Athletic League of Philadelphia would be greatly appreciated.  Donate - Philly PAL
