Regiment, 3rd Marine Division.
Lima Company was at Camp Carroll, 8 kilo-
meters southwest of Cam Lo, when hostile
forces fired several mortars at the base.
Burgess died as a result of fragmentation
wounds to the neck and left shoulder from
hostile mortar fire.
Tour of duty unknown.
Survived by his mother, Veronica McLean of
5016 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA and his
father; Herman Love of unknown address.
