Mauro Dorothy M. "DOT" (nee Gardopee) of Philadelphia, passed peacefully in her home on February 8, 2017, at the age of 76. Beloved wife of Gennaro. Devoted mother of William (Jill) , Susan (Michael) Havens and the late Gennaro Jr. (Zenaida), the late Dorothy, the late Tina (John) Grodziski,. Loving grandmother of Sheryl(Taz), Jenine, JP, TJ, Jamie, Tanya, Kevin, Justin, and Becky. Great Grandmother of Eric and Nathan. Daughter of the late Louise (nee Palmatary) and David. Sister of William, the late David, and the late Nancy (nee Kobie). She is survived by her many nieces and nephews. Dot lived her life with tenacity and enthusiasm. While small in stature, she made her presence known and played a central role in the lives of her family and friends. A devoted mother and grandmother, she spent her life providing care and service to others. Among her many talents, she was an accomplished cook, gifted interior designer, and gregarious hostess. She had a great capacity for bringing family and friends together to create fond memories. Dot is remembered as a passionate friend and was considered a blessing by those who knew her best.
