Marlene May Nichols Rychlak - Class of 1958

     Marlene May Nichols Rychlak, also lovingly called Sam by her husband, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 30, 2023, in Crestview Center, Langhorne. She was 84.
 
     Marlene was born and raised in Philadelphia where she graduated from Mastbaum High School, class of 1958. After marrying the love of her life, Ray, in 1960, they resided in Philadelphia for a short period of time. From Philadelphia, they became long-time residents of Bensalem, where they raised their son. 
 
      Marlene worked for an optometrist for many years, where she handled all aspects of the practice. She then went to school later in life working hard to become a LPN. After graduating from School, she worked at Lower Bucks Hospital. From there, she made a change and enjoyed many years being employed by Prudential where she approved health insurance claims. 
 
     She was a parishioner of Bensalem Presbyterian Church where she dedicated many years to help others. She had a very strong faith in God. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, and especially spending time at their shore home that they enjoyed for 23 years. Marlene had a love for cats. They were an important part of her family. She enjoyed dining out with her husband.
 
Marlene is survived by her husband of 63 years, her son, daughter-in-law, two granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter. She will also be missed by her sister-in-law and her cousins.
 
     Relatives and friends will be received at the James O. Bradley Funeral Home, 260 Bellevue Ave., Penndel, PA 19047 on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 10:30 A.M. to Noon. A funeral service will be conducted at Noon.
