Janet Griffith David - Class of 1953
Janet David (Nee Griffith) 86 passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 14h 2023. She was a loving wife to Robert for just over 50 years before he preceded her in death in 2012. Janet was blessed with 4 children 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Janet took dressmaking at Mastbaum High School and was a talented seamstress making gowns at the Alfred Angelo factory for many years. She handmade wedding and christening gowns for her daughters and grandchildren. She loved to quilt, sew and embroider.  
Janet and Bob flew the coop once their nest was empty and enjoyed their golden years in the Florida sun. Fiercely independent she worked well into her 80s before heart conditions and dementia started to take her bit by bit. She was a devout Christian and a member of Atonement Lutheran Church where she was active in community events, bible studies, ladies’ clubs and volunteer events.
Per Janet’s wishes and there will be no formal service. She asks to honor her memory by attending a mass in her honor.
