Catherine "Kay" Amelia (Bumm) Schaudt, age 100, passed away November 2, 2016, at Manatawny Manor, Pottstown, Pa.

Kay was born April 21, 1916,

in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Edwin Thomas Bumm and Matilda Henrietta Weiss. She graduated from Mastbaum High School in 1933.

Kay married John George Schaudt on June 24, 1937, in Wilmington, Delaware.

Kay worked as a secretary at various jobs and worked for US Rubber Company - Uniroyal Tire

Company for twenty years before retiring in 1977. Upon

retiring, Kay and George moved to Leisuretown, New

Jersey, and from there she moved to Pottstown,

Pennsylvania.

Kay enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cross-word puzzles, jig saw puzzles, reading, traveling with her daughter and son-in-law each year to Florida and to the New Jersey beaches, visiting her son and daughter-in-law in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was active in the St. Columbkill Seniors Group and volunteered to knit afgans for the RSVP Organization.

Kay was preceded in death by her mother, Matilda (Weiss) Bumm (June 2, 1934); her father; three brothers: Stanley, William and Ed Bumm; and her husband; her

sister, Evelyn Gill, of New Holland, Pa., and her husband, John George Schaudt (April 22, 1981).

Kay is survived by her daughter, Claire Ann Ditty, and her husband, George, of Pottstown, Pa,.; her son, William (Bill) Schaudt and his wife, Sandy, of Bixby, Oklahoma; her sister, Ruth Beer, and her husband, William, of Perkasie, Pa.; her brother, Leonard Bumm, and his wife, Dorothy, of Blue Ball, Pa.; her loving grandchildren: Sharon and her husband, Chuck Colletti; Michael and his wife, Lisa Ditty;

Stephen and his wife, Tiffany Schaudt; Daniel and his wife, Karie Schaudt; her ten great-grandchildren; nieces,

nephews other family members, friends and acquaintances.

Pallbearers are: Steve Schaudt, Dan Schaudt, Michael Ditty, Chuck Colletti and Leonard Gill. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Schaudt and George Ditty.

Friends are invited to call on Monday, November 7th, at the Parish of St. Columbkill from 10-11 a.m. in Boyertown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. with Fr. Quinn officiating. Interment at Ressurection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA at approximately 2 p.m.

Arrangements by her grandsons, Daniel and Stephen Schaudt, owners of the Schaudt Funeral Home in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
