Charles  is survived by his daughter LaTrice, three grandchildren (Alexia, Derrel and Deion), one great grandaughter (Kimi).

He was a good basketall player in high school.  While in the Air force he also played basketball while stationed at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska.
