Stanley Merton - Class of 1961

Stanley R. Merton Stanley R. Merton, born May 20, 1943, passed away on July 9, 2014. Stanley was born in Philadelphia to our late Stanley and Lillian Merton, where he graduated from Mastbaum High School. He was a diligent and hard worker who retired as a Store Manager for ShopRite in New Jersey after 40 years. During his retirement he found joy in his part time career as a crossing guard for Rose Tree Media School District on the corner of Route 252 and School Lane in Upper Providence. Stan, often referred to as "Stan the Man," was loved by all and touched the hearts of many throughout his life. Stan was a faithful and devoted husband, a caring and selfless father and grandfather, and above all a beloved friend. He will forever remain in our hearts and will be missed by all he touched.
