In Memory

Joseph Lowry - Class Of 1988

Joseph P Lowry Jr - Class of 1988

Joseph Patrick Lowry, Jr.

12-9-1970 12-3-2024

Born in the Kensington section of Philadelphia and later relocated to the Villas section of New Jersey, Joe was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Janet Lowry and many other relatives that went before him.

He was the youngest of four children, a nephew, cousin, uncle and loyal friend to many.

Joe's family began when he married the love of his life, Jennifer Gilmore Lowry on September 19, 1998. The two recently celebrated 26 years of marriage. He and Jennifer became the proud parents of three boys, Gannon, Aidan (Gabriella Grey) and Finnian Lowry. He was by far the best dad the boys could ever have. This past January, Joe gained a new title- Poppy or Pop as he became the grandfather of Kiernan Carter Lowry. Everyone could see his face light up when he spoke of or saw little Kiernan. He truly had the glow of grand parenthood.

Joe was a 1988 graduate of Mastbaum High School. He was employed by the Cape May County Public Works and Road Department as a laborer. In his spare time, he enjoyed working at the Greater Wildwood Elks Lodge 1896 as a door attendant.

If you had the pleasure of knowing Joe, you knew just how big his heart was. He was kind and gentle, genuine and honest. He was easy to talk to. A true all-around great guy. He will not only live on in the hearts of those who loved and knew him with all of the great memories that they shared but in those who he generously saved by organ donation!

Rest easy Buddy, we'll miss you forever!

In honor of Joe, please wear your favorite Philly sports hat or a Jeff cap. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations be made to the New Jersey Sharing Network in honor of Joe.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects Monday, December 9th from 10AM until the time of service at Noon at Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Road North Cape May NJ.
