In Memory

Bridget Potts (Reilly) - Class Of 1987

Bridget Potts (Reilly)

Bridget Reilly Obituary

Bridget A. Reilly (nee Potts) sadly passed away on August 20, 2024 at the age of 55. She was born on May 20, 1969 to the late Thomas and Margaret "Peggy" Clair Potts.

Bridget was raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia and lived there for most of her life until relocating to Cape May County. She graduated from Mastbaum High School, class of 1987. Like many of the kids her age, she loved music from the hard rock, hair bands like Motley Crue and Poison.  After high school, she worked for many years at the neighborhood Thriftway as a deli clerk and was a friendly face to all the neighborhood people who shopped there.

Bridget loved being a mom to her daughter Brooke and enjoyed the time they spent together. When Brooke was a cheerleader, Bridget was a proud cheer mom for the Warminster Pioneers cheer squad. This also allowed Bridget to spend time with her sister and niece. Family was everything to Bridget. She always looked forward to family poker games, Christmas at her sister's house, and any time she was able to spend with her siblings and their families. She was also a proud aunt who treated her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children and they loved her dearly. She will always be remembered for "telling it like it is" and having no filter. Bridget will be greatly missed and forever loved by those blessed to be a part of her life.

Bridget is survived by her husband Brian and her cherished daughter Brooke. She is the dear sister of Peggy Weinman (late Bob), Tom Potts (Ronaldo), Cathy Burke (David), and sister in law of Christine Tryon (Tom), Beth Whitley, Michael Reilly Jr., James Reilly (Helen), and Karen Fleming (John). Loving aunt to Emily, David Jr., Micheal, Erin, Joey, Dean, Daniel, Haydn, Jade, Meranda, and great aunt to Bella. Sadly missed by her father in law Michael Reilly Sr. and her aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Monday August 26, 2024 beginning at 9:30am in St. Anne Church (lower) 2328 East Lehigh Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19125 followed by her funeral mass at 11am. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests and appreciates any donations towards her final expenses (a link is provided below).
