I remember Mr. Schneider very well . He was a very kind person and he was very qualified to have the boys gymnasium at Mastbaum AVT High School named after him. He  died on May 27, 2006 of Alzheimer's Disease.

Mr Schneider was a very good man. If I have this right, I can always remember him and those dark sunglasses.

Mr. Schneider was a great Baseball Coach! When we practiced the outfield before the games, he would stand at Shortstop and hit the ball in the air to me in Left Field with his old wooden bat. He would hit the ball way into center field or in the foul territory to have me hustle and get the ball back to the infield. Excellent Game Preparation! Haha!

I wish we won the Public League title in 2001 - I was fortunate enough to bat 3rd in the lineup during this season. We had a great group on the Team: Greg Humphrey, Jason Gonzalez, Johnny Marrero, Jose Colon, James Kalas, Mark Hansberry, Paul Smith, Carl Bender, John Santiago. We went 9-5 in the season, won 1st round playoff game, and lost 2nd round playoff game. This was the best Team I played on in my life!
