Mr.Lukens was my History teacher. I remember that he pressed very hard with the chalk on the blackboard. (See page 8 in our 1972 yearbook) He gave us lots of notes to take but he was very thorough. He was a good teacher.

We had Lukens for home room and History.  It was the first week of the semester.  He started out on a bad note (for NO reason that we knew) with a class of girls, when he said that he always took his dates to a restaurant and ordered something messy so he could see how they handled it.  Then proceded to tell us not to try anything cute because he knew all the girl tricks.

The next day half of the class hid in the clock room and the rest stayed in class.   He took attendance and said he thought he saw a few that were not in the room at the time. Of course we said nothing.

We went to first class Mr. Crumblish for math and then returned to Lukens for History.  We told the girls in the closet to start laughing so they would be discovered.  When he found them he was IRATE, he said, we had no idea how much trouble we caused him.  The next day  we wrote on the chalk board  "We thought you knew all the girls tricks."  IRATE again.

He gave us 50 questions from the history books that had to be completed the next day or we would get an "F".  Well once again he didn't know all the girls tricks.  We divided the questions and only answered a few, because we called each other that night and exchanged answers..           Easy-peeze..
