Theresa Stahl - Class of 1978

Theresa Stahl passed away on December 30, 2022.

Theresa P. Stahl passed away unexpectedly at home on December 30, 2022. She was 62 years old. 

Theresa is the beloved daughter of the late William J. Stahl Jr. and the late Pauline Longerella Stahl. Devoted mother of the late James "Jimmy"Stahl. Dear sister of the late William J. Stahl III. Loving aunt of Jennifer Adamsky (John), Joseph Stahl (Barbara), William J. IV (Lisa) and great aunt to Carli, Cailin, Kevin, Joey, Emily, Lilyan, Natalie, Billy, and the late Tommy. 

Theresa was raised in the East Kensington section of Philadelphia, in St. Anne parish. She remained there throughout her life and was proud to raise her son in the same neighborhood where she grew up. She graduated from Jules E. Mastbaum Vocational High School and after worked in her family variety store, "No-Name's". Theresa then worked as a binder for POMCO and as an administrative assistant for the Longshoreman's union. She later became a distributor of Little House Candles and then opened "Grandma's Candle Castle".

Theresa was very devoted to her parish of St. Anne. She was a volunteer for bingo and was extremely involved with the Alumni, especially with organizing the Shore Thing in Wildwood.  She would do all she could to raise money for the parish and create events for the parish community, especially the kids. 

Theresa was known to do things her way but she would do anything for anyone who needed her. She was very resourceful and shared her knowledge with everyone. Theresa loved her family and friends and enjoyed time with them, whether it be at a gathering or even a phone call, and those were always marathon conversations. She will be missed by her community and those who loved her but there is comfort in knowing that she is being reunited in heaven with those who have gone before her, especially her brother and son, both of whom she missed so much. 

Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her life Saturday January 7, 2023 beginning at 9:30am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125. Funeral service 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests and appreciates any contributions towards her final expenses.
