Charles Henry Johnson, III, affectionately known as “Chalie,” passed away suddenly on November 9th, 2025, at the age of 67. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (née Kalinowski), with whom he shared 42 wonderful years of marriage.

Chalie was the devoted father of Charles “CJ” Johnson (Missy) and the loving grandfather and “Poppy” of Gavin Johnson, his cherished “G-man.” He is also survived by his dear sister, Joanne Rowan.

Born and raised in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, Chalie was the son of the late Charles and Selina Johnson. He was a proud graduate of Mastbaum High School, Class of 1976. Throughout his career, he worked as a dedicated baker for Richmond Bakery and Wonder Hostess.

Chalie was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan who loved fishing, watching NASCAR, and listening to Led Zeppelin. Above all, he will be remembered for his big heart and his willingness to help anyone in need. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose kindness and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
