David S Hagerty - Class of 1971

David S. Hagerty, Jr. passed away peacefully on Monday, October 18, 2021. He was 67. David was the beloved husband to Elizabeth "Betty" Hagerty (nee Peel) for 48 years. In addition to his wife, David is survived by his loving children; David S. Hagerty, III (Charlotte), Michael W. Hagerty (Barbara) and Daniel J. Hagerty (Laurie), as well as his 3 grandchildren; David S. Hagerty, IV (Lily Heinemann), Michael Hagerty, Jr., and Declan Hagerty. He is also the beloved brother of Darlene Dolbow(Dory), and Debra Newman-deceased(Greg) and many loving nieces and nephews. David grew up in North Philadelphia, Hunting Park section. He attended Jules E. Mastbaum High School and graduated in 1971. After graduating high school he was initially a mechanic and then moved into corrections and spent 28 years in that field rising to the rank of Sergeant. His many interests included bowling, corvettes, and motorcycles. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Monday, October 25, 2021 from 9:30 AM until his funeral service at 11:00 AM at the Decker-Givnish Funeral Home, 216 York Road, Warminster, PA 18974. His interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in David's name may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at www.nationalmssociety.org .
