Wiltred 'Willie' Negron Sr., 54, Employed by Northwest Airlines, PECO; teacher, died
May 25 in Philadelphia. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he was the son of Raymond and Nereida Torres Negron. He moved to Philadelphia as a teenager, attending Mastbaum High School and Temple
University. He was a star athlete at both schools. Mr. Negron lived in Brookhaven for 20 years, He was an equipment operator for Northwest Airlines for the eight years. Prior to that he worked
at the Philadelphia Blectric Co. for 17 years, and before that was a teacher at Edison High School in Philadelphia, Mr. Negron was the athletic director at Cento San Juan Bautista in Chester. He was a professional landscaper for the past five years and recently started his own business, Willie's Landscaping. Mr. Negron was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus.
and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Aston. He played and coached semi-pro
football for Hartranft in Philadelphia. Mr. Negron coached the Media Mustangs to the cham- pionship in their first season, and coached Aston AA football and basketball teams for many years. He enjoyed dancing and traveling. He was devoted to his home and family, never missing a game or performance involving his two sons. Survivors: Wife of 25 years, Doris A. Roden Negron; sons, Wilfred "Will" Negron Jr. and Bric C. Negron, both at home; brother, Henry Negron of Bensalem; sisters, Miriam Vega Vargas of Reading, Mercedes Vasquez. Torres
of Puerto Rico; one granddaughter.
