Joseph Walder

Joseph A. Walder, Sr. - Class of 1967

Joseph A. Walder, Sr., 71,  of Woodbury, New Jersey, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021.

Legacy
Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Joe met the love of his life, married, and moved to Woodbury in 1979. Joe was a proud Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Air Force.  Prior to retiring in 2014, Joe was a letter carrier for the US Postal Service since 1981 and was an active member of the NALC Branch 908.

A loving and compassionate man, Joe was devoted to his family.  He was patient with his children and grandchildren and was always there when they needed him.  It didn't matter what the occasion was, Joe put an extraordinary amount of thought into the gifts or events for his loved ones; they were never able to out do him.  Many happy memories were made on trips to Wildwood, especially looking forward to Happy Hour.  Times spent fishing, crabbing and camping will always be remembered.  Sundays were great because Fantasy Football made every game matter.

Family
Beloved husband of 51 years to Margaret (nee Kinney); devoted father of Joseph A. Walder, Jr. (Kellie), Frances D. Couse (Clifford), Christopher John Walder and Margaret M. Doyle (Timothy); devoted grandfather of Joseph A. Walder, III, Brittanie Sease, Meghan  Walder, Gregory, Catherine and, Daniel Couse, Hailey and Jack Doyle and great grandfather of Aubree, Julian and Damian; dear brother of Theresa Howard, Maureen Amicone and the late, Joan M.
