David Bromly

David B. Bromly - Class of 1967
David B. Bromley passed away on August 9, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was 70 years old. Beloved husband of Donna L. (nee McKeen). Devoted father of Kelly Bromley, David W. Bromley Sr. (Melody), Donna Miller (Neal), Debra Bromley, and Samantha Bromley. Loving Pop of Neal, Miranda, David, Jose, Tyra, Michael, Mia, Jozlyn, Layla, and the late George and Ryan. Dear brother of Patricia Rue and Kathleen Bromley. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews.

David was born in Philadelphia to the late Joseph and Estelle (nee Haddon). After school, he enlisted in the military and proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. Following his military service, he worked for the Philadelphia School District as a dispatcher for 32 years, while raising his family in the Fishtown section of the city. A proud Philadelphian, he loved his Philadelphia sports teams such as Phillies, Soul and especially his beloved Eagles. He loved food and loved to go out to eat and BBQ with family. He loved gardening, fishing, older country and western music and enjoying his beer. His greatest joy came from his family. He will be remembered by them as being devoted to them and also very silly, always joking about everything, including farts, as he would call Faarts. They will miss him but take comfort in knowing that he will be reunited with his family, especially his grandons.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Wednesday August 14, 2019 beginning at 7pm in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 E. Cumberland Street Philadelphia PA 19125. Words of Remembrance 8:30pm. Interment of his cremated remains with military honors will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery 830 Highland Rd.
