Donald Richard Walkling - Class of 1966
 

Donald Richard Walkling, age 76, of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully at his home on April 19, 2024. 

Don was born August 5, 1947, son of the late Walter and Anne Walkling. 

Don took pride in being a Philadelphia Police Officer. He served his community for over 25 years until his retirement in 2008 and earned numerous commendations for valor. In his earlier years, Don enlisted in the Army from 1966 to 1968, later becoming a Vietnam Veteran, who proudly had served his country. 

He loved going to Florida every year and enjoyed relaxing with a beer by the pool. He also enjoyed going to Rehoboth Beach and having a great time in the company of his family. Don was an antique car enthusiast. His favorite was the 1957 Thunderbird in cherry red. 

Don is survived by his beloved wife, Cathy, of 41 years. Don will truly be missed by all. 

In life, he was a man that could always be counted upon, a man of honor.

A memorial visitation for Donald will be held Monday, April 29, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home Inc., 659 Street Road, Southampton, Pennsylvania 18966. Followed by the memorial service at 11:00AM. The inurnment will take place at 12:45 PM at St. John Neumann Cemetery, 3797 County Line Road, Chalfont, PA.
