Bruce Walter Adams - Class of 1965

Bruce Walter Adams, age 75, an 18-year resident of Villas, NJ and formerly of the Mayfair and Kensington sections of Philadelphia, died on October 21, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Jane Caldwell Adams for 51 years.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Franklin Crawford Adams and the late Margaret Frank Adams.

Bruce graduated from Jules E. Mastbaum High School in 1965.

He proudly served as Sergeant in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was the recipient of 2 Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoyed bowling and computer gaming. Bruce loved playing street hockey and stick ball with his children and the neighbors’ children. He coached baseball with the Holy Terrors and Lansing Youth Organizations.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving children and their spouses: Robert J. Adams, Catherine J. and Brian Rightley, Joseph C. and Danielle Adams, Christine M. and Philip Brandes and Mary E. and Richard Culver; grandchildren: Tyler Adams, Brian, Jr. and Emily Rightley, Alyssa Rightley, Justin Rightley, Nicolas Rightley, Jack Adams, Joseph Adams, Jr., Philip Brandes, Jr., Logan Brandes and Lucas Culver; great-grandchildren: Chloe Rightley Serano and Regan Rightley. He was preceded in death by his brother, Franklin R. Adams and by his daughter-in-law, Michelle Adams.

Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM and on Friday October 28, 2022 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, John F. Fluehr & Sons, 3301 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA. Funeral service will be on Friday at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
