Alvin Stafford Brockson, Jr., age 81, passed away on November 12, 2025 in Burlington, NJ.
He was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Alvin, Sr. and Sara Brockson. He was a former resident of Mount Laurel, NJ and Northeast Philadelphia before moving to Burlington, NJ. He was a graduate of Jules E. Mastbaum High School, Class of 62 and obtained his bachelor's degree from St. Joseph's University. He was the Vice President of Finance for Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company. In his free time, he enjoyed coaching his girls in softball and his son in football. Later in life he enjoyed going to watch his grandkids sporting events and traveling. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. What he cherished most was the time he spent with his family.
Alvin was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Margaret J. Brockson. He is survived by his children, Margaret L. Orr (Mark), Alvin S. Brockson, III (Claudia Mascioli) and Linda Smith (Brian); his sisters, Sallie Kozarski (the late Edward) and Barbara Veit (Art); his grandchildren, Tyler, Victoria, Dean, Andrew, Nicholas and his great granddaughter, Vivienne. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday November 19, 2025 from 9-11 am at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals 212 Ark Road Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. A funeral service will follow at 11am. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA. In lieu of flowers, donation in his memory may be made to the
Wounded Warrior Project or to National Brain Tumor Society
