In Memory

Arthur Dorn - Class Of 1960

Arthur Dorn

ARTHUR E. DORN

Arthur Edward Dorn, 82, of Glassboro, NJ, passed away peacefully in his sleep and was embraced by his
Heavenly Father, early on February 9, 2024. Arthur was the son of the late Arthur Sydney Dorn and
Florence Matilda Dorn.

Born November 15, 1941, Arthur grew up in Kensington, Philadelphia, PA. It was there he attended
Mastbaum Technical High School, where he received a degree in graphic arts. This was one of his
greatest passions in life.

It was during his teenage years he met the love of his life, the late MaryAnn Dorn. He worked in the
graphic arts industry for the next ten plus years for several companies. In the mid-1970’s he decided
to start his own silk screen printing and embroidery business in Glassboro, NJ. Art Graphics was the first
of its kind in Southern New Jersey. Arthur and MaryAnn went on to operate that business for the next
45 years.

The thing Arthur most liked to do was spend time with his late wife, MaryAnn. He also enjoyed classic
cars, motorcycles, and a good joke. His capacity for telling amazing stories was always on display during
his adult years. Later in life Arthur became very fond of being in the house of the Lord. It was there he
reignited his passion for singing the hymns of the heavens.

Arthur is survived on this earth by his two brothers, Edward and William; his sister, Diane; his two sons,
Art (wife Francine) and David; as well as his two grandchildren, Nathaniel and Audrey.

The family is honoring Arthur’s request to have a small celebration to honor his life for his family, closest
friends, and fellow congregation members. We will all remember Arthur for the sweet, strong willed,
kind, funny, and charismatic person he was.
