Barbara Ann Wallace, age 84, passed away on March 28, 2025 at Brookdale Senior Living facility in Richboro, PA.

Barbara was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia, PA, prior to moving to Brookdale. Barbara was born on December 18, 1940 to John W. Bailey Jr. and Emma W. Dell. She graduated from Mastbaum Vocational Technical High School in Philadelphia in 1959. Barbara started her professional career at Western Electric and held positions in the banking, insurance, and in the import/export fields throughout her career. Barbara retired from BDP International in 2010.

Barbara had a deep passion for travel, especially to Europe, where she cherished the beauty and history of Scotland (her mother’s birthplace) and England. Her love for English literature and shows was unwavering, with her favorite book series being Outlander. An avid reader and skilled baker, she found joy in the quiet moments spent with a good book or in the kitchen creating delicious treats for those she loved. Barbara valued family and she was a devoted sister and aunt, always offering a listening ear and endless support to her family. Barbara’s kind nature will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, John and Emma Bailey and her spouse William Wallace.

Barbara is survived by Janice Scullion (sister), John W. Bailey 3rd (brother- wife Jeanette), Melissa Bailey-Raison (niece- husband Wayne), John W. Bailey 4th (nephew), Gregory A. Bailey (nephew) and two great nieces Kira Raison and Riley Rose Bailey.

Harry Guetherman (1960)

Condolences to Barbara's family and friends. I graduated in June '60 so I didn't know Barbara. May she be an angel to watch over the loved ones she leaves behind. God bless.
