Ernest S. DeNofa Jr., 85, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully at home on November 10,2025.
Born on March 31, 1940, in Bridesburg, to the late, Ernest S. Sr. and Tessie DeNofa. Ernie is one of six brothers and sisters, Dominic (Johanna), Dolores (Terrance), June (Ronald), Barbara (Ronald) and Alfred.
After graduating from Mastbaum High School, he became an employee of Rohm and Haas Chemical Plant and then went onto a long and successful career as a State Farm Insurance Agent.
Ernie loved and cherished his wife, Alice (McCaw) who he has enjoyed 60+ wonderful and loving years with.
Ernie is also survived by his 3 children, Kimberly (Bill), Ernie (Kathleen), John (Susan), his beloved grandchildren Monica, Shane, Quinn, Olivia and Aiden. His great granddaughters, Lucy Alice and Murphy Kathleen and many nieces and nephews and godchildren.
Ernie will be remembered as an avid golfer, a formidable card and chess player, an ardent horse enthusiast and a loyal and generous friend.
Mostly, Ernie will be remembered as a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be deeply and profoundly missed by all of his family.
