He was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 2, 1939 to Leonard Conner, Sr. and Lillian Smith Conner, and raised by his grandmother, Rita. He graduated from Mastbaum High School in Philadelphia and worked for Vinokur Pace Engineering Services for 35 years. He moved to Palmetto 21 years ago. He belonged to the Bay Colony Property Owners Association and Manatee Sailing Association. He was always concerned about the environment and when not cleaning up the Bishop Harbor area on his own, he participated in beach clean ups with Keep Manatee Beautiful. He enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and worldwide. He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Meyers Conner, son, Daniel Conner, daughter, Linda Winn, Son-in-law, David Winn. He had a full and happy life. He was loved and will be missed. HE HAD FUN. A celebration of life was held at his residence.
