DiNicola (nee Mastrangelo), Elsie S. – 87, of North Cape May, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2022. Born in the Kensington Section of Philadelphia to the late Ernest and Irma Mastrangelo, Elsie has been a longtime resident of North Cape May after moving here from the Rhawnhurst Section of Philadelphia. She graduated at the top of her class from Mastbaum Vocational and Technical School. While attending Mastbaum she began her career with Rohm & Haas where she retired after 43 years, retiring as an administrative secretary in 1994. During her high school years, she was a member of the Whatnots High School Sorority. She was always active within her church affiliations, specifically at St. Michael Lutheran Church, Kensington and more recently the Cape May Lutheran Church. She enjoyed many things in her life; riding her bicycle, bowling and traveling, but most of all simply being with her family at any occasion. Along with her parents, she is also predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Frank DiNicola and her six siblings, Victor Scholtz, Frank Mastrangelo, Margaret Pisieczko, Irma Black, Charles Mastrangelo, and Helen Schaller. Elsie is dearly missed by her family which consists of her nieces and nephews. Elsie’s memorial ceremony will be held on Monday (June 27th) at 11am in the Cape May Lutheran Church, 509 Pittsburgh Ave., Cape May with entombment to follow in the Cold Spring Cemetery Mausoleum, Lower Twp.
