FUSCO, Theodore T. "Teddy" Past International Director of Lions International (1989-1991) 
of Doylestown, PA died Sunday, January 27, 2013. Born in Philadelphia, PA to Pasquale and Carmella (nee Olivieri) Fusco. Beloved husband of Rita M. (nee Fusaro) Fusco. Loving Father of Donna Mazza and her husband Mario, Georgeann Fusco and her husband Allan Thompson and Theodora Tina Fusco. Dear brother of Anthony Fusco, Donald Fusco and the late Lena Krause. Brother in law of Margaret Fusaro. Devoted Pop Pop to Christopher, Gianina, Nicholas, Samantha, Alexandra and Taylor. Ted held the rank of Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he plotted heavy artillery for field missions. After the Korean War he served in Germany as a Geographical Surveyor where he restored grid coordinates on maps that were destroyed in WW II. 

He was a Lion for almost 55 years and member of the Northeast Philadelphia Lions Club. 

The late Past Director Fusco held numerous positions within the association including club president, zone chairman, deputy district governor and district governor. He is also a past president of the Pennsylvania Lions Eye Bank of Delaware Valley that has provided services for over 50 years. The Beacon Lodge Camp, a summer camp for children and adults with special needs including blindness, deafness, and other physical and mental challenges also benefited under the late past director's leadership. He was the host chairman of the 1984 USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forum, and served as president of Lions Camp Kirby for the deaf/hearing impaired. 

In recognition of his service to the association, the late Past Director received numerous awards including Extension Awards, 100% Club President Award, Dr. Rilling Award, 100% District Governor Award, many Certificate of Appreciation Awards, and International President's Awards. He received the Ambassador of Good Will Award, the highest honor the association bestows upon its members and was a Melvin Jones Fellow. 

The late Past Director was a builder and land developer and in addition to his Lion activities, was a member of several business, professional and fraternal organizations. 

A distinguished and caring man who touched many lives through his generosity and constant service. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and good friend to many. The late Past Director enjoyed life to the fullest and served with dignity and compassion, and will be greatly missed. 

Family, Friends and all members of Lions International are invited to Teddy's Life Celebration SATURDAY, February 9th from 1 to 5 P.M., SUNDAY, February 10th from 4 to 8 P.M. and MONDAY, February 11th from 8:30 to 9:15 A.M. at John F. Givnish of Academy Rd. 10975 Academy Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19154 and to participate in his Funeral Mass 10:30 A.M. Christ the King Church, 3252 Chesterfield Rd. Philadelphia, PA 19114 followed by Burial with Military Honors at 1 P.M. in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd. Newtown, PA 18940 In lieu of flowers, a donation in Teddy's memory to Northeast Philadelphia Lions Club c/o Wayne Bickel, Secretary, 923 Essex Rd. Rydal, PA 19046 would be appreciated by the family.
