Evelyn Grace Jones, age 82 of Monticello, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at Centra Care Health of Monticello. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 11, 2015, from 5 PM to 7 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 449 West Broadway, Monticello. The funeral service will follow at 7 PM with Rev. Sherri Sandoz officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery on Thursday. Funeral arrangements are with the Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel of Monticello.

Evelyn was born on July 11, 1932, in Philadelphia, PA to Leslie W. and Florence K. (Gale) Frank. She attended and graduated from Mastbaum Vocational High School in Philadelphia in 1950. She was united in marriage to William “Bill” Jones on April 26, 1953, and they were married for over 53 years until Bill’s death in 2006. She retired from Provident Mutual Insurance Company after working there 32 years. In 1987, she and Bill moved to Monticello. She volunteered with several local organizations including the Monticello Help Center, Pinewood Elementary School, and Trinity Lutheran Church. She actively served at Trinity Lutheran Church by playing piano when needed and was a longtime member of the church choir. She also enjoyed square dancing and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Florence Frank; husband Bill in July of 2006; and five brothers and sisters. Evelyn is survived by sister-in-law Linda Frank; nieces Janice (Terry) Hopkins of Monticello, MN and Elizabeth Frank of Kanab, UT; nephews Bill Frank of FL, Leroy (Jeanine) Frank of NE, David (Katy) Hoh of NJ, Tim (Mary) Hoh of NJ, Peter (Lisa) Hoh of MN, Daniel (Pam) Hoh of NY, and Paul (Heather) Frank of MN; great nieces and nephews Amy Klatt, Katie Kosloske, Andrea Persampieri, Leslie Hoh, Jeff Hoh, Emily Rossi, Tim Hoh, Jr., Monica Hoh, Joshua Hoh, Sarah Hoh, and David Hoh; many great great nieces and nephews; and many friends and neighbors. Memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church of Monticello.
