William Eckley Ebert

William Eckley Ebert of Mount Laurel passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly. He was 85.
Born in Philadelphia on December 1, 1929, Bill was a 1947 June graduate of Mastbaum Vocational School, and an Army veteran of the Korean War. A draftsman, he worked at RCA Astro Electronics in East Windsor for 27 years until he retired in 1989. He enjoyed singing, golfing, playing cards, going out for a good meal, and watching his grandchildren perform.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, George D. and Edna A. Ebert; his sister, Edna M. Markgraf; and his son, Keith J. Ebert. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janice M. Ebert (nee Walker); his son and daugher-in-law, Gary G. and Bonnie J. Ebert, of Mount Laurel; two grandchildren, Matthew and Melanie Ebert; and many nieces and nephews.
Bill's memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, March 16, at First United Methodist Church, 446 E. Camden Avenue, Moorestown. Friends and relatives may visit with the family in the chapel from 9:30 until the service, or at the reception following.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any organization funding Alzheimers research.
