Gertrude Devlin Guisti - Class of 1947
 

What an honor it was to have known her! She was so vibrant, full of kindness and when she walked in a room she lit it up with her smile, enthusiasm and jokes! She never had a bad bone in her body, and never bad mouthed anyone. For instance, if you did wrong by her she would say, “What comes around goes around.”

Trudy was all about family. She never played favorites when it came to her four boys: Richard, Rudy, Larry or Ron. If you asked her who her favorite was, she would pull out her “Pride and Joy” card because they were all her favorites. She never had daughters, but loved all four of her daughter-in-laws: Jo-Dee, Sue, Cheryl and Susan. Her 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren have so many fond and fun memories with her. 

If there were any big events, Ricky Martin’s “She Bangs” would be requested and everyone was up dancing with Great Granny. Years ago, you could find Trudy socializing at the Buck Hotel and the 360 Club. She spent many nights on the dance floor while Jerry Blavat (DJ) was there. Oh how she loved Jerry. He would announce, “Trudy’s in the house!"

The stories and memories you left us will be cherished forever. If you were her friend, you had a truly dear friend forever. Trudy loved life and lived life to her fullest - never missing a beat. Mom, we all know you will be dancing in heaven with your loved ones. You will always be loved and never forgotten ❤️ Let’s all live life like Trudy!

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Lamb Funeral Home 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006, from 10:00AM - 11:00AM. Followed by the Celebration of Life at 11:00AM. Interment at Forest Hills Cemetery.
