Anna May Skilton (McDonough) - Class Of 1946

Anna May Skilton (McDonough)

Anna May McDonough, nee Brady-Skilton, 88, fondly known as "May", passed away on February 22, 2018, surrounded by her family. May was the wife of the late William P. McDonough. She is survived by her children: Marge Brady, Tom Brady (Nancy), Ann Sacco, and Denise Drybala (Steve), her grandchildren: Evelyn, Eugene, Jim, Bob, Thomas, Zach, Stephanie, Scott, and Staci, nine great grandchildren, and one great- great grandson.

May attended Mastbaum High School, where she was active in organizing class reunions. After graduation, she became a private contractor as a furniture and slip-cover seamstress. She loved traveling, especially enjoying her visits to Hawaii and Ireland, and her trips to view the Fall foliage. May loved preparing New Years dinner for her family, who enjoyed her savory pork and sauerkraut. She enjoyed roller skating and dancing, and even danced in her chair in her final days. For many years, she was active in 'Retirees in Action' and the 'Artisans' groups, participating in their functions and activities. May loved animals, especially deer, and her family can only imagine her peacefully roaming with Bill, enjoying God's nature.

Relatives and friends are invited to May's Life Celebration on Wednesday, February 28, from 9:00am to 10:00am, at John F. Givnish of Philadelphia, 10975 Academy Road, where a service will be held at 10:00am. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park in Feasterville.

For health reasons, the family requests that no flowers be sent. Instead, donations may be made to the ASPCA, at ASPCA.com, or to the Alzheimers Association, at ALZ.org
