Great coach, great teacher and a great friend. It's a small world...met his niece, Janet, a few years ago near where I live now. She told us he had passed away - we were so stunned - would have been nice to talk to him again. I will be forever grateful to Mr. Fahey for letting Doris do all of my book reports!
Our Track Coach 1968,69,70... Assistant Football Coach 69, Mentor and friend, brought me back the year after graduation to assist him in sponsoring the 1971 yearbook. Jack was a true role model. Right before graduation in 1970 I had an embarrassing, and near catastrophic stumble that nearly ended everything positive that I'd earned, and Jack was there to stand with me, get me through the crisis, and help steer me onto my college years with my head held high. RIP John Fahey.
