In Memory

Lena Whitney

One thing that will live in my memory forever.  During one of the many business deportment assemblies (for girls only of course), she made the comment:  "you should wear a sweater tight enough to show you're a woman, but loose enough to show you're a lady".  Who can forget her checking for anyone in the hallways who "did not have a full-slip" on, if not, home you go.  I laugh about these comments now, but she certainly did make certain before you left the school for a job interview that you looked just fine.  More than once she commented you are not just representing yourself, you are representing Mastbaum!  RIP Mrs. Whitney.
