One thing that will live in my memory forever. During one of the many business deportment assemblies (for girls only of course), she made the comment: "you should wear a sweater tight enough to show you're a woman, but loose enough to show you're a lady". Who can forget her checking for anyone in the hallways who "did not have a full-slip" on, if not, home you go. I laugh about these comments now, but she certainly did make certain before you left the school for a job interview that you looked just fine. More than once she commented you are not just representing yourself, you are representing Mastbaum! RIP Mrs. Whitney.
