David was a good ol' boy...could take the jokes with the best of 'em. Again, a life cut short...R.I.P. David!

Dave lived only a few blocks away from us and was a friend of my brother Danny. Dave many times came over our house. He was full of life and loads of fun. He was always willing to share a laugh. Another tragic situation of one dying so young. You are missed Dave. - Kathy Gerold Lawrence

David did have an oversized head in proportion to his body and I remember in Wood shop he had the name of 'punkinhead' and never once did I ever hear him lament about this. He was even teased about going to Leo's 3-man barbershop to get his haircut with all 3 Barbers working on him at the same time! I believe Leo's was at/near Somerset and Kensington Ave. (?) Does that sound right?

I remember Dave being called "Head". He was well liked by everyone.

I found a newspaper clipping dated 9/23/1976 of "In Memoriam" with David's photo and the date of Oct 4 as the anniversary of his passing. It doesn't state WHICH anniversary it is, but I'm going to say it was probably  10/4/75 of his passing.

Danny , I tend to think the anniversary is 10/4/76, because I remember where I was when you told me the news. I was living on Princeton Ave. ,our 1st house then. I believe we moved there in June 1976 & Jen was born in Aug. I could be mistaken though. I wonder if there is anyone who might know the answer out there. Perhaps someone who was at the party that night.

Kathy~if my newspaper clipping is dated 9/23/76 and it's in Memoriam, How could have David passed in 10/4/76? I believe he died in either '74 but I tend to lean in '75.
