Virginia (Ginny) Yaussi-Borell - Class of 1959

Virginia Borell
June 18, 1941 - December 30, 2022
Rock Hill, South Carolina - Virginia Lee (Yaussi) Borell, age 81, passed peacefully on Friday, December 30, 2022, with her son and daughter at her side.
Ginny, as she was known by everyone, was born in Abington, PA on June 18, 1941, to Joseph Kenneth Yaussi and Pearl Ida Dennison. She had one sister, Joanne Walters.
Ginny was married to Paul V. Borell (who passed in 2015) in 1963 and the two of them relocated from Pennsylvania to South Carolina in the late 1960's. She became a true Southern belle with a hint of Northern sassiness. Ginny and Paul are survived by their daughter, Denise Aikens; their son, Brian and wife, Laura Borell; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her beloved cat, Abby.
Ginny worked for many years at York Technical College where she truly enjoyed the work she did and the friends she made along the way. She had a wonderful network of friends from work and throughout the community. When you were in Ginny's life she loved you fiercely, she was loyal, honest, and supportive. She will be greatly missed by all who she touched in her life.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1694 Bird Street, Rock Hill, SC. The family will receive friends and visitors at a reception immediately following mass. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church or to Mesothelioma research at the American Cancer Society https://www.cancer.org/cancer/malignant-mesothelioma/about.html.
