David Anthony McCammitt

David McCammitt, 55, Minot, ND, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019, in a Minot hospital.

David Anthony McCammitt was born May 1, 1964, the son of William E. and Barbara A. (Freas) McCammitt, in Philadelphia, PA. He was raised and educated in Philadelphia and graduated from Mastbaum Jules High School in 1982.    

David enlisted in the United States Air Force on July 16, 1982. He proudly served his country until being honorably discharged on February 1, 1984. 

David married Julie R. Heintz and the couple made their home in Minot, ND, where they raised their children: Robert, Savannah, Kaitlin and Chelsey. Over the years, David worked at a number of local businesses including Happy Joe’s Pizza, Computer Store, Boss Hydrovac, Home Depot, On the Rocks Lounge and MLT Vacations. He is loved by many, missed by all. 

Surviving family includes: Wife, Julie, Minot; son, Robert (Diana). Philadelphia, PA; daughters, Savannah (Steven), Kaitlin (Joshua) and Chelsey (Justin), all of Minot; grandchildren, Theresa, Hunter, Oz, Annabelle, Dakota and Addison; mother, Barbara; sisters, Annamarie, Catherine and Michelle; brother, William (Kris);mother-in-law, Vivian Heintz and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

David was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, William.

Celebration of Life: Thursday, August 15, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at The Grand Hotel - Ballroom, Minot.
