A Time to be Born: Jeffrey Tyrone Tucker Sr., son of the late Lynwood and Ada Tucker, was born on September 9, 1956 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as the third of six children. He was preceded in death by his siblings Deborah Delores Gallashaw and Earl Tucker, as well as uncles Wallace, Roosevelt, Edward, Zettee Harcum, and aunts Dorotha Tucker, Lillian Harcum, and Avan Harcum. His brothers-in-law Larry Danridge, Samuel Dowling, and Keith Owens also preceded him in death.

 

A Time to Learn: He was educated at Ferguson Elementary School, John Wanamaker Junior High School, and Mastbaum High School. He graduated from Allstate Truck Driving School.

 

A Time to Labor: He worked various jobs, starting at the U-Haul company, then Overnite Trucking Company. Lastly, he had a job at the Southeastern Transportation Authority as a bus driver. At SEPTA, he drove routes 18, H, HX, L and 47. After 15 years there, he had to stop working because of a disability.

 

A Time to Love: Jeffrey T. Tucker was known as Rome, J.T., Jake, and Tuck by many family members and friends. He met and married Pamela Tucker on May 15, 1982. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and a great provider for his family. He enjoyed his many dogs (Zeus and Lady, for example), and loved a variety of sports, mainly football and baseball. He was a coach at one time for the Hartranft baseball team and coach of the Warriors basketball team at the 8th & Diamond street basketball league. His favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys, which he and his two younger brothers always fought over because they were for the Philadelphia Eagles.

 

A Time to Rest: Jeffrey, in the presence of his family, departed this life peacefully at his Residence in Montgomery County, PA, on Tuesday August 10, 2021.

 

A Time to Mourn: He leaves to celebrate his life; his loving and devoted wife, Pamela Tucker, one son Jeffrey Tyrone Tucker Jr. (Jake), three daughters, Tamara Pamela Tucker (Myra), Pamela Deobrah Ada Tucker (Pam-Pam), and Shavonne Janine Pinckney, one grandchild, Chase Saleem Perry, three brothers Lynwood Tucker Jr., Robert (Pugh) Tucker, and Anthony (Tank) Tucker, one mother-in-law, Gladys Danridge, nine sister-in-laws, Delancey Tucker, Lynn Tucker, Deshan Tucker, Patricia Dowling, Joyce Hoyle, Gladys Danridge, Paula Owens, Shirely Danridge, and Darlene Danridge, two brother-in-laws, John Hoyle and David Danridge, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
