Suzanna J. Waskin Murphy - Class of 1971

Suzanna J. Murphy of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Holy Redeemer Hospital Hospice in Meadowbrook, PA. She was 63 years old. Suzanna was born July 22, 1953, the daughter of the late Naran Waskin and the late Anna Waskin (nee - Netzyphor/ NECZYPOR). She is the beloved wife of Charles “Bud” Murphy, the mother of Michael Murphy, and the sister of Sonia Marie Waskin.

Suzanna was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia, where she was a graduate of Jules Mastbaum High School on Frankford Avenue in the city. She had varied occupational experiences during her working career including as a store manager for Marty’s Shoe Outlet on Rhawn Street, as a teacher in a day care center, and at various positions in the food and beverage service industry. She has been a resident of northeast Philadelphia for almost 30 years and was a member of the St. Cecilia Parish in the Fox Chase section of the city.
