Richard Taylor - Class Of 1971

Richard Taylor

RICHARD TAYLOR - Class of 1971

Richard “Rick” Taylor, loving husband, father and Poppa, passed away Wednesday, May 19 surrounded by his wife and children.  He was 67, born and raised in Fox Chase, later becoming a long-time resident of Langhorne.

Richard was proceeded in death by his father, James Taylor, and his mother, Margaret (Bowyer) Taylor.  Richard is survived by his loving wife Linda of almost 45 years, daughters Nicole (Bradley) Wood, Krista (James) Bodkin, and Lindsay (Robert) Worley, grandsons Paxton and Lochlan Bodkin, along with brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.

Richard, known as Rick to most, was a loving husband, the best father three girls could ask for, a father-in-law who made his three sons-in-law his own, a caring and supportive Poppa and a kind, generous man who was always there for his family and friends.  Rick’s passions were spending time with his family on the boat, waterskiing, snow skiing, family vacations and working on cars.  Rick loved nothing more than being in Ocean City, NJ with his family in the summer and snow skiing in Vermont in the winter.

Rick was quick to encourage, hard-working, selfless, helped anyone and everyone he could, and was the kindest man many of us have ever known.  He prided himself on good quality work, quality time spent with family and always helped you learn something new or better yourself.                                      He will be missed by all.  “Where the ocean meets the sky, he’ll be sailing” until we meet again.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Rick's life on Tuesday June 1, 2021 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Lake Nockamixon State Park Pavilion #5. Donations in Rick's memory may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306.
