Richard Hause, Jr. - Class Of 1994

BOILING SPRINGS, SC- Richard Wayne "Rich" Hause, Jr., 43, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018. He was the son of Richard W. Hause, Sr. and Lorraine "Lorrie" Campbell Hause. In addition to is parents, he is survived by a daughter, Laurie Sue Lopez, II, of Monessen, PA; and a sister: Karen (Ray) Harling of Chesnee, SC.
Rich was a 1994 graduate of Jules E. Mastbaum Voc tech High School in Phila., PA. As a proud American and patriot, he proudly served in the US Navy and was stationed on the USS Hyman G. Rickover, a nuclear attack sub. After he completed his service he was honorably discharged. He worked for the City of Spartanburg Police department in the patrol and investigation divisions. He received 
specialized training at the FBI Academy at Quantico, VA for Forensic Facial Reconstruction. Rich was a talented artist and often designed portraits, murals and tattoos for friends. His love of camping and hiking led him to travel many roads, sometimes with his special friends, Nina Watts and Andrew Penik. He was a Grateful Dead enthusiast, and often bragged about attending Jerry Garcia's last concert. His political views were legendary and known by all who knew him, and even some that didn't know him.
Rich has one surviving grandparent, Florence C. Hause of TN and was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Willard A. Hause and maternal grandmother, Beatrice E. Murphy. He will be sadly and profoundly missed by his family, including many cousins, aunt and uncles including godfather, Raymond A. Hause and godmother, Eileen J. Murphy-Gizzi. Rich was predeceased by his constant companion and "Little Buddy", TY.
Left to cherish Uncle Richie's memories are his niece, Morgan and his nephew, Matthew Harling, whom he loved very much and treated them as if they were his own children. They had a special bond that will never be broken.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Dr. Walter Grady.
Memorials may be made in Rich's name to the Gary Sinise Foundation, P. O. Box 368, Woodland Hills, CA 91365.
