Mr. Garcia was an English teacher in the 50s and was producer of the school show, the Jems. It was for the Jems of 58 that he took this shy guy and made him a singing co-star of Howdy Stranger. This helped me in later life to volunteer my vocal services in 50+ years of church choirs and as bass singer in a Gospel quartet.

Mr Garcia was excellent at directing the school plays . I was part of the plays between 1953 -1955.
