David Adelman - Class Of 1963

David Adelman(1944 - 2014)

DAVID ADELMAN David Adelman, 70, of Sun City Summerlin in Las Vegas, passed away July 4, 2014. Dave was born March 6, 1944, in Philadelphia, to Antonia "Toni" (nee Lucuskas) Adelman and David Adelman Sr. He graduated from Mastbaum Technical High School in 1963. He was a mechanic/diagnostician and owned and operated Dave's Auto and Truck Repair in Philadelphia. In July 1982, he met the love of his life, Valerie Davis on her brother, Gary's boat in Cape May, N.J., where he also docked his boat, the Datone. They were married Valentine's Day 1987. He retired from auto mechanics and joined Valerie's family at Davis Furniture in Millville, N.J., where they worked together until retiring in 1997. They moved to Las Vegas in 2004. He was an avid sport fisherman, enjoyed golf, working on cars and golf carts. He enjoyed helping others any way he could. He lived according to his Christian beliefs and embraced his half-Jewish heritage. He will be deeply missed by his wife, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and in-laws, Grace A. and Bobbie V. Davis. He is survived by his wife, Valerie Davis; a sister, Joan (Paul) Hagy; brothers-in-law, Gary Davis and Tom Brady; sister-in-law, Holly Brady; nephew, Paul Hagy Jr.; and nieces, Diane Hagy, Amanda Davis and Kelly Davis. There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 31, at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, 8901 Del Webb Blvd. Reception following, at the home of Rosalie Lenz, 9728 Sundial Drive.
