Stephen Dauerbach – Class of 1958

Stephen David Dauerbach passed away peacefully on November 6th 2022 in Grandview Hospital surrounded by his family at the age of 81.
Stephen was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania to Stephen and Anne Dauerbach on December 30th, 1940. He graduated from Mastbaum High School in 1958 and worked as a tool and die maker/manufacturing engineer for 46 years until his retirement in 2005.
He was the loving husband of the late Carolyn J. Dauerbach for 43 years, beloved father of Christopher K. Dauerbach (Kerry) and Jennifer A. Kappenstein (Chris), dearest grandfather of Kyleigh and Ragan Kappenstein, and loving brother of Gayle Hoffman (Daniel).
Stephen never missed an opportunity to go fishing, was often found in his woodshop turning a lathe, and was an active member of his local church. He enjoyed cooking, the outdoors, the company of friends and family, and a good Manhattan. His sense of humor was a true gift that he gave often to make people laugh or simply lighten the mood. It was a gift that even in his final days he kept giving and NEVER lost. Additionally, at his core was a true passion for helping others. If you needed a hand, he'd lend it. If something was broken, he'd fix it. If you needed an ear, he'd listen. He was a great man, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will truly be missed
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
