Obituary

Frank D. McCorkle age 92 passed away surrounded by his family on June 12, 2021. Beloved husband of Jeannette (nee Malone) for over 66 years. He was the loving father of Karen Cunningham (David) and Frank McCorkle (Amy). Frank was predeceased by his son-in-law Gregory McDonald, siblings Ethel, Betty, Bud and Irene. He will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren Hollie McDonald, Heather Longo (Mike), Dan McCorkle (Kaitlin), Kyle McCorkle, great grandchildren Michael, Lauren, brother Harry McCorkle (Helen), his many nieces, nephews and their families. He graduated from Mastbaum High School in 1947. Frank was a Korean War Army Veteran. After the Army he became a Philadelphia Police Officer eventually retiring as a Lieutenant. Frank enjoyed playing golf, soccer, traveling, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Relatives and friends are invited to greet his family Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Lambie Funeral Home 8000 Rowland Avenue (At Rhawn Street). His service will follow at 11:00 am. Frank will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park with Military Honors.
